Marmoleum Dutch Design

Colour for Marmoleum by Forbo

Forbo asked twelve designers, including Van Eijk & Van der Lubbe, to create a new colour of marmoleum flooring. They looked for a way to bring the comforting colour of soil inside, into the interior and found the right shade behind the Brabant farmhouse that was their workshop at the time. That bucket of earth formed the basis for M08, a deep, nuanced brown with just a hint of green. In the making of the end product, great care was taken to avoid the traditional flamed pattern common to marmoleum. M08 holds its ground.
