Helende Kracht
Exhibition design for Museum Volkenkunde Leiden

Every person strives for happiness and health. 'Helende Kracht' showed traditions of healing worldwide in a large exhibition. Special ethnological collections were shown in 7 themes, in addition to the work of contemporary artists such as Damian Hirst, Joseph Beuys and Marina Abramovic.

The exhibiton Healing Power was on display at Tropenmuseum Amsterdam in 2020, Museum Volkenkunde Leiden in 2021 and traveled on to AfrikaMuseum Berg&Dal in 2022.

Van Eijk & Van der Lubbe was asked to create a design for this exhibition. Each room has its own approach. All theses subtly support the world between the earthly and the spiritual. Light, color and layering of materials work hand in hand with the special themes and works.
