Interior for Stedelijk Museum ’s-Hertogenbosch

A total concept for the presentation of the permanent collection of Stedelijk Museum ’s-Hertogenbosch. By adding a tunnel to the design by Bierman Henket, the entrance itself is transformed into a unique experience. Inside the tunnel, the focus is on a new world at the end. You emerge in the middle of a room, in a sea of light. There, the collection seems to float – up, in and between transparent volumes. This sense of transparency is carried through in the smallest details, creating a wonderful visual interplay. Visitors also get a say in what they see; works from the archives can be requested on the spot. A digital display board reveals the status of the requests.
